USING YOUR BEGINNING TO CREATE GREAT FUTURE

The beginning of any thing we do in life is very important. As a matter of fact, beginning has a way of affecting your future positively or negatively. For example, the beginning of building a house is laying the foundation, now lets also take cognizance of the fact that there are difference types of building, if you raise a three story building on a one story foundation, that building will surely collapse in future time.

How you begin your new year, matters a lot, do not begin this New Year lackadaisically, because how well you will do this year may depend it. The following principles can help you start well:

1. Appreciation: Give thanks to God, for keeping and letting you come into the New Year. People died by your side, I mean people you started 2011 with, died even in your hands, before your eyes, some died in auto crash, plane crash, naturals disaster, sickness, some slept and never woke up again. A lot of things happened to you and around you but you are still alive. You really need to appreciate God. Secondly. There are people who helped you achieve something (s) last year, it will also be wise to call them, send text massage or meet them one on one and appreciate them for helping you count success in 2011.

2. Stock taking: Sit down and analyze yourself, your business and your academic, your relationship with people, your attitude, your marriage and your job. You will discover that there are areas you made success and there are also areas you failed, thank God for those areas you made success and say bravo to yourself for taking bold step that led you to success. Now, those areas you failed, do not cast blame on anybody, take blame for your failure and kill it right there. Do not carry it over into the New Year. What you need at this point is to think of fresh ideas on how to achieve those things you could not achieve last year, one new idea in your business can change it for the best. Just think.

3. Write down the thing you want to achieve in 2012 in the order of your scale of preference, draw a plan of how you are going to achieve them. If you have projects you started last year you did not finish, do not abandon them rather continue from were you stopped and keep doing it until you finish it.

4. Pray to God for help and grace to achieve your goals.

NB: It does not matter how big or small you started, but how well.

With this you can be sure you have started your 2012 very well and you will surely end it well.

THE BURNING HUT

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed fervently for GOD to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions. One day after scavenging for food ...he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened, and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. "GOD, how could you do this to me?" he cried. Early the next day he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.
LESSON: It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because GOD is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain, and suffering. God is sovereign and nothing takes Him by surprise. There is nothing you pass through that He cannot handle. When He is silent, it does not mean He cannot handle it, He is only planning to make you the winner. Time is His tool, for He makes all things beautiful in His time. When you can’t understand God, keep still, worship and wait, He is never late. Remember that the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the Grace of GOD. You may want to consider passing this on, because you never know who feels like their hut is on fire today...
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans.8:28.
The remaining days of this year will release to you, a miracle that will send you into the new year with laughter. It is not over until you win. YOU WILL SMILE AGAIN.
